Nick Palumbo BS, CSCS/Fitness and Performance Specialist
Education: B.S. from the University of Cincinnati in Exercise Physiology, Member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
Performance Training Experience: For over a decade, Nick Palumbo has been doing personal training and coaching for athletes to improve performance. He has developed strength-training protocol for a wide range of athletes from high school, collegiate, and professional, including several Cincinnati Bengal defensive linemen.
From 1999 to 2004, Nick designed and implemented strength and conditioning protocol at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital including Olympic lifts, plyometrics, high-speed treadmill, sprint cord, gait assessment, 3D motion analysis, and core/low back strengthening.
From 2004 to 2006 Nick worked with numerous orthopedic doctors and physical therapists at Sportsmetrics Physical Therapy in Cincinnati as a physical therapist assistant, helping to treat a variety of conditions, including shoulder tear and weakness, and ACL rehabilitation of young female athletes.
In 2008, Nick became involved in community outreach programs such as Mercer Island Kids Fitness Camp and Select Soccer Conditioning Camp, creating awareness of ACL injury risk and developing programs stressing proper technique and training volume for high school soccer, basketball, and volleyball players.
These combined experiences, including Nick’s educational background, have contributed to his talent for designing fun, innovative and dynamic exercise programs which most importantly, help clients achieve their goals more quickly and efficiently. As a result, their workouts are not only fun, they are unique and beneficial to each client’s fitness and performance, whether they are just beginning or are an experienced competitive athlete.
